ladies, gentlemen and those in-between, summer has begun!
a small introduction
hi, for those who don't know me, i'm imogen, but you can call me mars!
this blog is to help document the development of skills and talents as well as the learning of new ones during my final summer break.
i can't believe i'm already heading into third year this autumn, so i'm going to make as much use of my time this summer to prepare myself for the a core aspect of adulthood - job hunting. i've had multiple chances to apply for placements and internships in the past year, but being someone who is not fully confident in their skills, this summer i am to boost my confidence in them so i can finally tackle the real world next summer (aka. the first summer of unemployment).
my plans for the summer
now, what do i want to do this summer?
i have so many hobbies i want to pick up again and skills i want to improve, but where to start?
let's start with things to aid me for when i apply to graduate jobs or internships for next year:
...and then things that align with my current interests and hobbies:
how did i end up starting off summer?
with a bang.
just kidding, the past few weeks were tiring. from stressing over a cyber exam (which turned out to not be bad at all) to nightmares over ensuring my partner and i's declarative programming maths report and code were meeting the guidelines, i deserved a break. so, i wasted the day away, without regrets.
in the evening, i touched my sketchbook, reuniting with it after who knows how long, filling a blank space with a layered highlighter sketch that i'm quite proud of (maybe i still have that eyeballing technique after all).
