jquery refreshers & font fixes: a frontend focused day (and profile readme's?!!)

today's checklist

  • compclub hub on linkedin projects

  • compclub hub on notion project portfolio

  • bmw group project on notion project portfolio

  • bmw group project on notion project portfolio

  • mastermind on notion project portfolio

  • mastermind on notion project portfolio

  • compclub hub on notion project portfolio

more of the same thing

jquery

by 11.15, i finished the jquery course on the front end development library on freecodecamp

like yesterday, here are my thoughts after completing the course:

  • this was a good recap of jquery (went through it last year but only watched tutorials so it didn't stick well)
  • didn't know there was an animate.css library! this may prove useful for projects in the future

profiles and portfolios

  • by 11:56 i finished updating the notion portfolio and my linkedin profile for the bmw group physical asset tracking system project
  • by 12:24 i finished updating the notion portfolio and my linkedin profile for the mastermind command-line game project
  • by 12:32 i finished updating my linkedin profile for the compclub hub project (time for lunch!!)
  • by 14:04 i finished updating the notion portfolio for the compclub hub project

and that concludes my updating of my linkedin project section and notion portfolio for the moment!

reflecting on what's been done so far, i may need to tweak project descriptions and add reflections on the notion portfolios. nevertheless, this is just for gathering info about my projects until i finally launch my actual coded portfolio site so i guess it is fine for now. i might also want to edit the versions of it on the linkedin profile project section to indicate my role in the project, and the outcome of the project (the grade i achieved / award i got / what it helped do).

back to experimenting for the blog

i was able to nail all the fonts and font sizes i used in my figma design file into the actual coded website!

readme's

to end the day, my teammate and i updated the mastermind command-line game readme file to the project we worked on for a uni assignment (this was the first readme file i've actually completed).
