happy pride month!!!!
no checklist?!!
today i don’t have any solid goals as it’s usually busy at home on sundays - though, i would like to finish the redux course on freecodecamp front end development libraries track, and finish designing the actual blog page on figma.
next week i want it to be creative so i was thinking up ideas as to what i could offer at bcu’s christmas marketplace if i were to run a stall:
on the hunt for good language learning apps
i did my japanese hiragana revision using the maru app, and bunpo.
i then realised (and remembered because i've used bunpo before): bunpo has a subscription. *deletes the bunpo app*
i then looked into french apps that i could use.
i tested out busuu - it wasn't that bad; it reminds me of duolingo. on a design perspective, the app is really nice and minimalistic, though it sometimes seemed slow when tapping buttons for feedback.
busuu has a range of languages, including german and japanese too so i tested out for these two languages too. before starting to learn a language, they also offered a short proficiency test so you could skip out the levels on languages you are more proficient at - as expected, i was given an a2 for french and german.
when it comes to language learning, i try my best to take notes but i realised that digital flashcards using the spaced reptition method may be best for me (as someone with questionable memory). so, i took to anki to make a few flashcards.
redux?
just in time for lunch, i finished the redux course in front end development libraries on freecodecamp at 11.54.
the first few lessons weren't too bad, but i got confused in the later lessons (was quite wordy).
and the blog continues...
after lunch, i went back to work and finished the mockup for the blog page template on figma at 16.37.
the next step for my blog's homepage is tag filtering:
