finding tutorials that are up to date and work can be tiring and difficult

in the morning i tried to follow this tutorial for a mern setup:

• react, node.js, express and mysql crud app

had to download docker, and searched this up - this may be quite useful

for this step in the tutorial, i had to use back ticks instead of slashes

it didn't work so i decided to just download mysql instead, but of course, the tutorial seemed outdated and didn't work so i gave up on this tutorial

after taking a lunch break, at 13.58 i found another tutorial

• building an application using mern and sql

i ended up running into a config problem again but didn't give up on it since it was the closest i got a tutorial to work (i mainly just wanted a working base so i can change it up and use it for my own web app). so, i ended up resorting to ai to help vibe code and fix up the configurations and it finally ended up working!
